At The Food + Drink, we make all of our favorite foods from scratch every day.
It might not seem like much, but all this started with a flour tortilla. As soon as I learned how to make tortillas from scratch and discovered how much better they are, I started getting angry every time I went out to eat and was served pre-packaged tortillas. I wondered what else I could learn to make myself.
Since then I've learned how to cook all of my favorite foods from scratch; tacos, pizzas, all kinds of cookies, Liege waffles and on and on because why bother learning to make stuff that isn't superyummydelicious?
And so here I am, opening a restaurant and serving my favorite foods and making just about everything from scratch right here in house. Tortillas, sour cream, pickled onions, pizza dough and sauce, bread, fig jam, fruit preserves, Liege waffles... you name it and I'm making it right here at food + drink.
