Cal Thurber has been building since he was fourteen. His first project was a garage and room addition he and his grandfather built for Cal’s dad. Mr. Thurber admits he likes the satisfaction of building something and saying, “I did that.”
Twenty-five years ago he expanded on that satisfaction; he got his contractor’s license and founded CST General Contractor. The company’s objective is to make its customers’ lives less difficult. Apparently the mission is being accomplished. Cal states he has never had an unhappy customer.
Whether you are looking for someone to construct a new vacation home, or remodel an existing residence, Cal will see that you are satisfied with a quality job. He talks to clients about their needs and gives them a realistic estimate of what it will cost in time and money to deliver the results they want.
Cal provides an itemized breakdown of expenditures prior to starting a job so that clients can see where their money is going before they spend it. There are no hidden fees or surprise overruns. Problems are dealt with as they come up, so owners can make clear decisions in-line with their priorities, and their budgets.
Some of the services CST General Contractors provides are: new construction; building garages, decks, additions; remodels; electrical work (Cal has an electrician’s license); handyman services; and emergency services. The company is the only one certified by Generac Generators to install and repair it’s automatic stand-by generators.
No job is too big or too small; every project is completed with quality and customer satisfaction in mind.
Tim and Pat Thomas have been serving Broken Bow since 1983. Custer Floral and Gifts isn’t just a business to them, it’s a way to connect with people and spread happiness. Floral arranging and designing is a labor of love and creativity. Pat has always had an artistic bent. She used to be in a craft shop business and then had a fabric shop business. Her eye for color and texture guide whatever she’s working on, whether it’s a grapevine wreath for the wall or a small vase of fresh flowers for a friend. Her designs include modern, classic, silk and fresh flower arrangements of all sizes.
At first, arranging was something Pat learned as she went. But it wasn’t long before she started taking classes to become a Nebraska Master Florist, a distinction she has now held for many years. Pat makes a point to stay current with the market and changing times. She is always learning and creating. Creative thinking makes this little shop shine, as seen in the whimsical carousel animals used to decorate the store just to keep it fun. If a client prefers sweets to scents Pat can create a candy bar bouquet.
Custer Floral and Gifts carries a wide variety treasures like windchimes, waxed scented bears, plush animals, balloons and cards. There’s something here for everyone. Gifts for both men and women are available. Pat uses different themes throughout her displays. Some of the most popular are country-western, gardening, golf, hunting, sports and fishing. Custer Floral and Gifts also carries many religious items that can be sold separately or incorporated into a design using silk or fresh flowers: angel figurines, crosses, stones and plaques. Fresh green plants, both bloomers and non-bloomers, adorn a large portion of the store as well.
Pat believes in delivering a quality product and excellent service. She uses the best flowers she can find and is willing to do whatever it takes to see a project through. Her goal is to try to be the very best at what she does and to make her clients happy.
Joedy Woodcock has been serving power sporters in the area for eighteen years. Oroville Cycle is stocked with equipment for sports from motocross to water skiing in the summer and snowmobiling to snow skiing in the winter. Joedy is involved in power sports himself and carries not only the best equipment, like wakeboards by HO or Hyper LIte, but also the best accessories, like Go Pro web cams, Oakley sunglasses and Troy Lee apparel. This is only a small sampling of what’s sold. The store is chocked full of gear. Some things, like Troy Lee apparel, are only found here.
The real heartbeat of Oroville Cycle is the engine work Joedy does in the back. He started out repairing Harley-Davidsons and selling parts. Eventually he expanded to Watercraft and Jet Ski repairs, and engine overhauls. Now he has an inground dynomometer so he can diagnose and tune ATVs, UTVs, outlaw karts, dirt bikes and street bikes. If it has an engine, odds are good Joedy can tune it up, fix it, or rebuild it, especially if it’s designed to be fast.
Race engines are his speacalty. He knows what it takes to get top performance from an engine. He builds racing engines for Moto-X bikes, ATVs, and UTVs. His expertise is in high demand. Some people are willing to travel up to 500 miles to have Joedy build motors for them. That said, at Oroville Cycle every customer is important. Joedy is quick to share knowledge and advice with clients that call or visit his shop. He is a dealer for Dansa Racing, Fox, Tucker Rocky, Western Power Sports, and Parts Unlimited among others.
Oroville Cycle is a Chase Johnson Racing sponsor (360 sprint car). Joedy believes in giving back to the community and store sponsors local kids in Moto-X, and outlaw karts. Trophies of all kinds line the walls of the store.
You don’t have to be in power sports to appreciate the work Oroville Cycle does. Farmers, ranchers, hunters and fishermen also frequent the store with their repair needs. Joedy knows what it takes to get a power vehicle back on the road, and will see that the job is done right.
Excellence and quality are high values for Joedy. That’s why he carries only the best in everything. Excellence and quality also describe the service delivered to every customer who walks through the door of Oroville Cycle, Oroville's year-round power sport supplier.
Joe Smith loves people and he likes helping them. Mr. Smith has thirty years of experience as a former data engineer for AT & T. He also has a strong background in network marketing and twenty years of sales experience. Your Best Wireless Plan allows him to work from home and use all of his skills to serve his customers by educating and supporting them.
Before talking Joe listens to his customers and finds out what they have. Then he educates them about what they need in order to improve their cell phone services and save money. Once people find out about what Joe’s company, Lightyear Wireless, provides they can’t help wanting to learn more. One of the great things about the company it's diversified earning plan for customers and representatives.
Three years ago Joe started his own home based business, and became a representative with Lightyear Wireless. After researching the company it was clear that it provides a great service at an affordable price. That appeals to people who want to responsibly manage their cell phones and save money. “It’s surprising how many users have no idea how big their next cell phone bill will be,” states Mr. Smith. Life is complicated enough without the added mystery, and misery, of an unexpected expense. His goal is to help clients review the facts so that they can make informed decisions about who they want their wireless providers to be.
Joe not only has a broad knowledge of wireless telecommunication, he also understands the importance of bringing honesty and value to whatever he’s doing. Joe’s philosophy of business is, “If it’s not true don’t say it. If it’s not right, don’t do it.” His goal is to have millions of people getting free service all over the world, and he’s willing to show them how to do that one customer at a time.
Mr. Smith wants to share this unique business opportunity with others and give them the training and guidance to help them succeed. This wireless plan not only saves you money, but can allow you to start a small business and build a residual income.
Awesome, thanks Ryan!!!!!!
I also wanted to just tell you how fun you are and I’m really glad I got to meet you in person. You are a true asset to the Chamber Nation family!

Imagine my panic when my boss, Terri Cole, (President/CEO of the GACC) came to me around noon on this past Thursday to let me know part of my responsibilities include updating and maintaining the NMCEA web site. Especially since I am not a “Web” kind of girl…I am used to submitting content and letting others make it “pretty.” Also, I had a deadline to get it done by this past Sunday at noon.
At any rate, Brian was on the phone with me in the evening hours on that Thursday, giving me tips and advice AND sent me links to help me navigate through Snapp-Pages (something I had never heard of until that ominous Thursday afternoon).
After we hung up, he sent me his contact information so I could reach out to him if necessary again. And, I did have to reach out to him – on Super Bowl Sunday of all days! I hate to bother anyone on their time off as I am a firm believer in quality of life for my staff.
He called me yesterday and understood the deadline I was under and helped with hyper-links as well as making the pages look “pretty.” Thanks to Brian’s help, I met my deadline.
Also, later that day, he called and left me a voice message to check in to see if everything was working okay. Always, when speaking with him, he was professional, friendly and extremely helpful.
These days, true Customer Service is something that is lacking in our businesses and it is sad. We have been accustomed to mediocre behavior and have to accept it. Brian went above and beyond “normal” and set the bar very high.
Please pass along my thanks and huge KUDOS to him – he is a jewel and you are very fortunate to have him on your team.
Happy Monday and thank you!

We chose to use Chamber Nation over the old membership platform when we merged two chambers in our community. At first, I was a little leery as the administrative area seemed less sophisticated than the one we had been using. After working with the "back office" for just two days I saw how easy Chamber Nation was to use and was very happy we had made the decision to switch to Chamber Nation.
I had an issue and called tech support. Ryan was extremely helpful and very professional and was able to answer my concern in just a few minutes of hearing what it was. I've called several times and each time, the tech person I spoke with showed the same courtesy and professionalism.
Ryan even set up a one-on-one webinar with me to walk me through the back office and answered all my questions.
When I run into trouble understanding something or not finding the answer in the help desk/files I simply submit a ticket and, usually within 24 hours, many times a lot faster, I have the answer in my inbox.
The San Tan Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased with Chamber Nation and the support their technical, billing and owners have give us as we are getting our bearings with this new system.
We are getting there and it's all thanks to your dedicated team.
Thanks for everything.
